The antibody is directed against the A1/B1-domains of the carcinoembryonic antigen related cell adhesion molecule 1 (CEACAM1). CEACAM1 has been detected at elevated levels in tumors and tumor environment and may thus be a suitable biomarker for the diagnosis and staging of tumors.
