HoWirk - High-speed knitting process

Ref.-No. 4807

Keywords: warp knitting maschines, high-speed knitting process, knitting

The invention in question here is a high-speed knitting process. It concerns a yarn feeding device for stitch-forming tools arranged in at least one row in a textile machine with a yarn guiding device. The procedure is based on two procedures from different areas. These form the basis for a high-speed knitting process with rotating machine parts. The invention includes the process of stitch formation. The weft yarns laid in addition to the stitches should not be laid via the discontinuous lateral movement of guide bars, but instead by rotors. Faster processing speeds are achieved as a result.

Competitive Advantages

  • Faster processing speeds
  • High economic advantages
  • Reduction in process costs

Commercial Opportunities

The process can be easily integrated into warp knitting machines. Warp knitting machines offer the advantage of a favorable cost structure due to high production quantities.

Current Status

A patent has been filed for the invention. International patents are possible. A prototype is to be built and tested as part of a project. On behalf of Hochschule Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, PROvendis offers interested companies licenses for the invention and patent application.

An invention of HS Niederrhein.
