Antibody against Amyloid-beta phosphorylated at Ser 8 and 26
Ref.-Nr. 3891A-C
The antibodies are directed against specific phosphorylation sites of Amyloid-beta at serine 8 or at serine 26, respectively. Forms of Amyloid beta phosphorylated at these serine residue have increased propensity to form toxic aggregates as compared to non-phosphorylated species.
Immunogen/Epitope
A: The aminoterminal peptide 1-14 of human Amyloid-beta: DAEFRHD(phosphorylated-S)GYEVHHC
B: the non-phosphorylated peptide used in A
C: Amino acids 20-33 of the human Amyloid-beta: FAEDVG(phosphorylated-S)NKGAIIG
The peptides were conjugated with keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH) as an immunogen. The antibodies bind to unaggregated and aggregated human Amyloid beta.
Antibody-Type
A: Mouse monoclonal
B: Rat monoclonal
C: Mosue monoclonal
